We needed to have our driveway and patio redone as the old concrete and pavers were in terrible condition.  Barry, or Buzz as we know him, was referred to us by my father-in-law so we gave him a call.  He came out and gave us a very thorough quote, including any options that we thought we might want.  This was in January/February of 2020 and, as we were in the process of getting some other quotes, Covid hit and we had to delay the project.  We picked things back up a near the end of 2021 and called Buzz back out.  He still had our original estimate but came out to look everything over once again and provided us with a second, thorough estimate.  I had 3 other contractors come out but not 1 of them was as professional as Buzz, and all of them came in with prices thousands of dollars more.  We hired Buzz and I can’t tell you how much help he was.  He walked us through the selection of a color for our patio and borders, he helped us decide where to extend some of the patio and steps, and patiently explained all of the processes to us in a way that we were able to understand.  When Buzz and his crew arrived to start, they got right into it and were fantastic.  His crew included Randy and Mike (who is Barry’s son) and they were amazing.  They took care of all of our concerns and Randy even came on his day off to fix an issue, that was my fault, just to make sure that we would be happy with the final result.

I can’t say enough good things about Buzz Sheldon and his team!  I hired him to replace my aging driveway and  backyard patio.  Buzz gave me an extremely fair price.  His work was impeccable.   His team was always on time every morning, and the work was done carefully and efficiently, with minimum disruption to me.  Buzz always made himself available if I had any  questions or concerns and kept me up-to-date on the progress of the job, every step of the way.  He’s a consummate professional and a genuinely warm and caring person.

Buzz and crew are polite, efficient and professional. Working between decerain storms they removed my apron driveway on Monday and replaced it Wednesday.

I have used many contractors, across 30 years and four homes, and I have to say that B.R. Sheldon Concrete is the best of the best. I spoke with Barry, and gave him the scope of the work with estimated square footage of concrete. After he gave me a verbal estimate, he came to the house to measure the area to “cement” a very accurate estimate. And he did this at NO CHARGE. His estimate was not only the most reasonable and Barry so incredibly personable, but he is also licensed and bonded, and with his excellent reviews AND the fact he does NOT sub-contract the work out, this was a no brainer. BR Sheldon Concrete it is. Two days of prep and the third day to pour/pump the cement, Barry’s team, which included Barry by the way, was always on time and did everything he said he would do. His attention to detail was amazing, from measuring to-the-inch where the lines in the driveway should be scored, to making sure my newly-set clothes line pole was perfectly straight, he was always there to make sure it was perfect. He had great ideas on the finish of the driveway which really customized my driveway so it wasn’t just brushed pad of cement. My last minute change to add a second step in front of the front door to make a landing area was easily accommodated. Barry has the kind of ethics you want in a contractor, and I wish I could use him to do all the jobs around the house.

Excellent workmanship and attention to detail. Buzz Sheldon and his son Mike are both pros and so are all the workers that were involved. He will explain every detail and involve you in the decision making process if you wish. I couldn’t be happier. I trust these guys completely.

Wow, where do I start! I can’t say anything more about Barry and his team that has not already been said. You just can’t help but like these guys. Barry works right along with his crew, Mike and Randy, and instills the confidence that the job will be done right, and on time. As a home owner it was a pleasure working along side Barry, who was open to listening to the customer as well as offering quality input. They arrived on time and finished on time. They all performed impressively, and give me a beautiful stamped concrete walkway that would rival any other in the neighborhood. So many people have stopped by to express their approval and appreciation. I think this project has inspired many neighbors to consider stepping up their own game. Many many thanks Barry. Barry and his crew were phenomenal. Every part of the job was first class and I’ve had nothing but wonderful comments from everyone who has seen the work they did. You can’t go wrong with these folks.

This is a very professional group to work with. On the initial visit, they were timely and very detailed with the specific rundown of the work they were anticipating doing, as well as giving a good rundown of what to expect on the day of the work. After everything was complete, I had a question about how the concrete was supposed to look and rather than give me some half-baked phone/text answer, Barry came over to the house and personally inspected the site. I couldn’t be happier with the overall experience.

Very professional crew always arriving on time. Very pleased with quality of work and articulated details. Pleasure working with these guys. I also work in construction trade and therefore can see the quality of their work. Now for concrete review – Looks great. They cleaned up afterwards. Did everything that was specified beforehand. Barry and crew have a lot of experience and shows in their work and explanation of process.

The Customer Service by Barry Sheldon, Owner is outstanding!!! He arrives at the initial consultation appointment, and is there on the tear out day and continues to be a part of your remodel until completion. He has excellent insight into what you would like and provides the necessary photo’s and suggestions based on your home, he is always available, He takes your project personally as if he were remodeling his own home. We always felt at ease with his staff and the cleanup at the end of their day was perfect. We love our new steps, sidewalk and patio!!!
